Welcome Message from the Principal
On behalf of the staff of Alice Birney Elementary School, I welcome you and your entire family to the 2009–2010 school year. We are indeed very excited to begin a brand new year together.
Last year marked great success for Alice Birney Elementary School, in that we met Safe Harbor for one of our highest sub-groups in Language Arts and we exceeded all state academic performance goals for all sub-groups. I am confident that this year will bring continued success and achievement for our school.
I invite you to take a few moments to read our newly revised Family Handbook with your child. Our goal in creating this Family Handbook is to ensure your student has all of the information necessary to be successful at our school. By reviewing each page together as a family, it will help your child to clearly understand what is expected of them as a student and what they can expect of us as a staff.
As the Principal of Alice Birney Elementary School, I pledge to you that our students are our number one priority. We have a truly dedicated and experienced teaching staff committed to ensuring your student receives the greatest learning experience possible, and we see you, the parents and guardians, as our partners in the learning process. Please know that we are here to support you and your student as they continue their pursuit of academic excellence, and we welcome you to contact us if there is any way we can further assist you in meeting your child’s needs.
I wish all of our students and families the very best as we begin a new learning year at Alice Birney Elementary School, and I look forward to a year of outstanding accomplishments for everyone.
