BHS Takes Top Honors at 2012 CJUSD District Science Fair
Congratulations to the following students for their performance at the CJUSD District Science fair held on February 4-6, 2012. The following students were awarded medals at the fair:

Bloomington High Math Teachers Intern at NASA
Bloomington High School Math teachers, A. Bathgate, R. Martinez, C. Sterne and M. Sutherland were the only Californial representatives among 32 teachers selected for a NASA Internship Program over the summer. (Read More)
Bloomington High School Advanced Placement Students Continue to Soar!
BHS Advanced Placement (AP) test scores from the May 2011 administration have been released. BHS students had a 51% overall pass rate on all AP exams. This makes a 30% improvement in scores over a 3 year period. A few other statistics of note include 54.5% of students who tested passed at least one exam and BHS had 31 AP scholars, 4 AP Scholars with Honors, 10 AP Scholars with Distinction, and 1 National AP Scholar. We are extremely proud of the continued success of our AP program and of the hard work our teachers, staff and students have demonstrated.
Colton Joint Unified School District Named Advanced Placement District of the Year
Colton Joint Unified School District is the nation's leader among medium-sized school districts in simultaneously expanding access to Advanced Placement and improving scores. From 2008-2010, the district:
- increased student participation in AP testing from 388 to 500 students, a 14 percent annual increase;
- increased the percentage of students earning scores of 3 or higher from 24 percent to 37 percent (BHS 42 percent); and
- increased the percentage of traditionally underserved minority students earning scores of 3 or higher from 19 percent to 34 percent. (Read more...)
Where Do Bloomington High School Graduates Go?
With the excellent education BHS students receive, many go on to major colleges and universities. After analyzing the graduating classes from 2008 to 2010, data shows BHS students attend the following Universities:
