Principal's Message

Dr. Michelle Scribner

  • Hello, I would like to extend a warm and energetic WELCOME to Smith Tech Academy! It is an honor to serve as principal of this community and its school!  All of us at Smith Tech want to make this a successful year for your child. Your support and cooperation combined with our best professional efforts, will ensure academic success for your child!

We are proud of our team and our students and invite you to become involved at Smith Tech Academy!  Please visit our classrooms, school office, library, cafeteria, and playground. There is a spirit of innovation, teamwork and progress at our school we want to share with you.  Stop by the office to say hello!

The goal of our school is to provide each student with innovative personalized learning opportunities.  We believe every child can achieve academic success. We also believe that our children know something that we don’t and that we will all learn from one another.  To this end, every child will be provided with quality instructional experiences with recognition, support and maintain high expectations for ALL students.

At Smith Tech Academy, we take the business of building relationships and teaching children seriously.  Each person at our school approaches his/her task with a keen understanding of the honor that is to be able to touch the future through the children.  Work of this importance cannot be done alone. When we work together we get more done than if each person worked alone. None of our efforts are as good as all our efforts together! #team!

As your principal, you can expect that I will reach out to you and ask for your support, ideas, suggestions and involvement.  I will encourage you to join our team, our school family so to speak, where preparing children to be college and career ready, is our number one priority.  I pledge to do my level best to ensure that each child is challenged, nurtured, and provided with a safe and stimulating learning experience.

As we work together during the year, I invite you to stay in contact and let me know how you and your student(s) are experiencing our school.  There will be many opportunities to contact me, please don’t hesitate or ever think that your comment or concern is unimportant. Our school is something that we must build together!  Through teamwork, open communication, and a dedication to continuous improvement, we can make this school a place that our children delight in and enjoy learning.

We look forward to working together as partners in learning! #gostars!
