To the Ruth Grimes Elementary Families & Community,

I am thrilled to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year! As the flagship Dual Immersion school, we have an exciting year ahead showcasing multiculturalism across our campus. We have many wonderful activities and assemblies planned to highlight the diverse Grimes community and provide enriching cross-cultural experiences for our students.

There are so many amazing things happening at Grimes this year. Our hard-working Leadership Teams have created new events and opportunities to meaningfully bring our school home and community together. A few highlights include our new monthly Family Nights, a Spring Community Picnic, and our end of the year Cultures Around the World in May.

Our staff is equally eager about the two new TK Classrooms and other essential space upgrades resulting from the construction this year and next. These campus enhancements will allow us to serve our students and families even better.

It is going to be a fantastic year full of learning, fun and community. I encourage you to mark your calendars for upcoming events and find ways to be involved on campus. Here’s to an excellent 2023-2024 school year!

¡Estoy muy emocionada de darles la bienvenida al año escolar 2023-2024! Como escuela insignia de Inmersión Dual, tenemos por delante un año lleno de emoción en el que mostraremos el multiculturalismo en nuestro plantel escolar. Hemos planeado muchas actividades maravillosas y asambleas para resaltar la diversa comunidad Grimes y proporcionar enriquecedoras experiencias interculturales para nuestras estudiantes.

Están pasando tantas cosas increíbles en Grimes este año. Nuestros trabajadores Equipos de Liderazgo han creado nuevos eventos y oportunidades para unir significativamente el hogar de nuestra escuela y la comunidad. Algunos aspectos destacados incluyen nuestras nuevas Noches Familiares mensuales, un picnic comunitario en primavera y nuestro evento Culturas alrededor del mundo en mayo.

Nuestro personal también está entusiasmado con las dos nuevas aulas de TK y otras mejoras de espacio esenciales que resultan de la construcción este año y el próximo. Estas mejoras del plantel escolar nos permitirán atender a nuestras estudiantes y familias aún mejor.

Va a ser un año fantástico lleno de aprendizaje, diversión y comunidad. Los animo a que marquen sus calendarios para los próximos eventos y encuentren formas de participar en el plantel escolar. ¡Brindo por un excelente año escolar 2023-2024!
