The following steps are applicable only to incoming K students.
1. Complete the Intra-district transfer form*. The window to submit it opens on January 15, 2021 and closes on March 1, 2021. Find the form at the Student Services page.
You have two options to submit your transfer request:
a) Email the completed Intra-district transfer form before 03.01.2021 to: CWAtransfers@cjusd.net
b) Mail the completed Intra-district transfer form before 03.01.2021 via USPS to:

*Please indicate the reason of your transfer request is Dual Immersion program and also indicate the site you are requesting: Birney, Grand Terrace or Grimes Elementary. Indicate a second Dual Immersion site choice should your preferred site be at capacity.
2. Complete and submit the District Enrollment packet to your home school starting the week of February 22, 2021. Include immunization record, birth certificate, proof of address, etc.
3. Once your request for a transfer has been reviewed and conditionally approved, you will receive a letter in the mail by mid May. Such approval is subject to space availability.
4. It is imperative that you immediately communicate with the Dual Immersion site to coordinate the pertaining steps to finalize the transfer.
Note: Enrollment in the Dual Immersion program is contingent upon space availability.
