Elizabeth Slusarski has been teaching English for the Colton Joint Unified School District for eight years.  After working in the steel industry for twelve years, she decided it was time to fulfill her lifelong dream of teaching; therefore she earned her Bachelor’s degree in English from California State University, San Bernardino.  Accomplishing that, she received her teaching credential from California Baptist University and made her dream a reality.  Growing up in the enclave of Torrance in the South Bay, Elizabeth graduated from North High School in 1989.  In high school, she was the co-editor of the school’s poetry magazine because of her love of writing fiction and poetry.  A passion for discovering the world through reading and writing is one of the blessings she hopes to pass on to her students.
