Adrian Merendon teaches English and AVID and he is also the academic advisor for "New Era" Dance Crew. This is his 3rd year teaching and 8th year in education. Besides CJUSD, he has worked for the Coachella Valley School District where he taught 7th grade English-Language Arts in Thermal.  

Mr. Merendon attended Riverside Community College for 2 years before transferring to the University of California, Riverside where he graduated with his first Bachelor of Arts degree in 2006. He returned to UCR to graduate with a second Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2009. To obtain his English teaching credential, he attended the University of Redlands and graduated in 2013. He has a Master's of Arts Degree in Education with an emphasis on U.S. Education in a Global Context from National University.

When he is not teaching he is a DJ, a drummer, a "Triple Threat," a soccer player, and he loves to travel! What he most enjoys about teaching are the students who come up to him after a rigorous year and say, "Thank you, Mr. Merendon," make teaching worth it.
