Jason DeBord has taught art for Colton Joint Unified School District since 2009. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from California State University, San Bernardino, where he also participated in drawing and photography courses. Jason’s art history focus emphasized the history of Spanish architecture in California. He will soon complete a Master’s degree in Humanities.

Jason supplements the creation of art in his classes by exploring how the world’s diverse cultures, histories and aesthetics intertwine and enhance our appreciation of humanity. He believes art is the perfect mind-expanding vehicle to help students critically think, reflect, and envision their own unique place within society.
