Elissa Kirkland is a proud product of the Colton Joint Unified School District.  Elissa graduated from Bloomington High School in 2000 before obtaining her Liberal Studies Bachelor’s degree, Elementary Teaching Credential, and Special Education Teaching Credential from California State University San Bernardino where she was a student athlete, competing in Women’s Water Polo.  Elissa taught at Alice Birney Elementary School for 6 years and has been coaching both boy’s and girl’s varsity swimming for the past 5 years at GTHS.  She is currently enrolled in a Master’s program for Educational Technology at Boise State University. Elissa is very excited to work in the community in which she lives.
