Picking Up Steam!

The Jurupa Vista teaching staff began our exploration into the upcoming Next Generation Science Standards.  Our school's  theme for this year is  "Picking Up STEAM" (Science Technology Engineering Art & Math) teachers will be incorporating the new NGSS standards across their daily instruction.  It is our goal to build opportunities for scientific inquiry and experimentation.  We also hope to build critical thinking skills and interest in the field of science.  We have on-site after school clubs that students can be involved in such as the Junior Engineers (Grades 1-2), Lego/Robotics Club (Grades 4-5), and the Girls Science & Engineering Club (Grades 5-6).  In conjunction with the arts, we also offer a Guitar Club (Grades 5-6) and a Drama Club (Grades 4-5). We encourage you to have you child participate in one of these groups if they do have an interest in any of these areas.
