Ruth Grimes Elementary in partnership with parents and community is dedicated to providing a safe environment where all students achieve academic success.
Dear Grimes Families,
Welcome to our amazing school! We are very excited to start a new year with familiar faces and welcoming new students and staff. This year, I have the wonderful opportunity to serve as your school principal. I am thrilled to work with students, families, and staff to ensure that Ruth Grimes continues to be a school aimed toward excellence!
Our new assistant principal is Mrs. Timberly Axelrod. She joins our Grimes family from Reche Canyon, where she served at the assistant principal for 3 years. She has an extensive amount of experience in our district as a teacher and program specialist at both McKinley and Crestmore. She is an invaluable contribution to our team!
“Today’s readers are tomorrow’s leaders” is the district motto we will continue to focus on as we plan family engagement, student activities, and staff development for the year. A “literate” students possesses many competencies beyond the ability to read. Our global economy requires literacy in technology, media, politics, and multiculturalism at a minimum.
Our staff is eager to work with each of your families this year to ensure that students are challenged academically, exposed to multicultural experiences, and engaged with technologically advanced tools for learning!
Your involvement in your student’s education however, is the factor that will have the greatest impact. We invite you to be part of our school community! There are many ways to be involved. Please look for event flyers and check our website calendar.
Please don’t hesitate to call, email, or stop by with any questions, comments, or feedback.
