A Message from Principal Tasaka

  • Washington High School finished the 2015-2016 school year with a lot to be proud of.  Our 10th Annual Student Celebration was as positive as we recognized the students for their hard work and progress in their academic endeavors.  This year's Graduation Ceremony was also great!  Our student speakers spoke about their challenges and successes as they journeyed towards graduation.  We were also able to recognize students for scholarships.  It was a night to remember!  Washington High School also hosts Summer School for students nearing graduation.  We will be hosting a "Rainbow Graduation" in the fall for these graduates. 68 students were able to complete their graduation requirements and will be recognized as 2016 graduates.

This school year can be marked for excellence in dealing with our students.  There have been challenges regarding student behavior and student successes as well as proficiently meeting the needs of students.  It is with conviction that the Washington Staff deals equitably with students in the areas of academics, behavior and special needs.  We are looking forward to another year of challenge with great successes!
