COVID-19 School Closure
Due to concerns regarding COVID-19, all CJUSD schools remain closed for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. All students are participating in Distance Learning during the closure.

Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten Priority Enrollment Information for 2021-2022
New TK and Kindergarten enrollments for the 2021-2022 school will be processed at school sites by appointment only beginning February 22, 2021. Please contact your student's school site to make an appointment and please continue to check this page for the most updated information. Thank you.

Students eligible for Kindergarten with birthdate: September 2, 2015 - September 1, 2016
Enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year for all other grades will begin April 5, 2021.

To make an enrollment appointment please call the school site and leave a message with your name, your student’s name, and a phone number where you can be reached. A staff member will contact you to schedule your enrollment appointment. A list of schools can be found here CJUSD School Site Directory

In addition to your completed enrollment packet, the following documents are required at the time of your enrollment appointment and are listed in the enrollment packet: Parent/Legal Guardian government issued picture identification card, the student’s birth certificate or other verification of student’s proof of age, the student’s immunization record (see enrollment packet for specific immunization requirements), address verification (utility bill from gas, water, or electric dated within last 30 days). Enrollment cannot be completed without ALL required documentation listed in the enrollment packet being presented at the time of your enrollment appointment, so please arrive prepared or you will not be able to complete your student’s enrollment and another appointment will need to be made at a later date. You may also pick up an enrollment packet at the school sites however it will need to be completed (including required documentation) prior to an enrollment appointment. Walk-in enrollment requests cannot be accommodated at this time. When arriving at school sites please note that social/physical distancing must be followed and face coverings must be worn as directed by the Governor.
Appointments will be available at all schools between 8:00am-Noon but days vary due to school closure.
Transfer Requests & Open Transfer Window
Colton Joint Unified School District 2021-2022 School Year Open Intra and Inter-District Transfer Window - The window for accepting Intra- and Inter- District Transfers is January 15, 2021 - March 1, 2021.
For families that are interested in applying for an INTER or INTRA District Transfer, the first day to submit a Transfer Application is Friday, January 15, 2021 and the last day to submit a transfer in March 1, 2021. Due to school and office closures, all information regarding transfers, transfer applications, and directions for submitting transfer requests can be found on our Transfers page.

For clarification purposes:
An Intra-District transfer is requesting a change from one school within CJUSD to another, by a parent that resides within the CJUSD boundaries.
An Incoming Inter-District transfer is requesting to change from the district of residence, where the parent resides, to a school within the CJUSD boundaries. The parent must go the their district of residence and complete the Inter District Transfer request with the district of residence and then the application will be mailed to CJUSD for review.
