Our Mission

  • Terrace Hills Middle School strives to provide a safe, secure learning environment for all students that encourage responsible, independent, creative and critical thinking skills development.  
    THMS provides the base for lifelong learning opportunities that students, through their actions and goals, will develop respect for themselves and others.
    To accomplish this mission, a working partnership consisting of students, staff, parents and community must exist.

THMS Daily Bulletin

    • Sorry--the Spring Beach Hangout March 16th has been cancelled.

    • GTHS Summer School Applications are available in E-6 or the front office for current 8th grade students. PE is the only course offerred and priority will be given to Pathway students. Space is limited and applications are processed in the order they are received. (Students will still be required to take PE in 9th grade, but will have fullfilled their PE requirement for 10th grade.)

    • Yearbooks will be $35 through March 17. Checks will only be accepted through March 17. As of April 3, yearbooks will cost $40 cash only. You can buy a yearbook in H2 before or after school, or at both lunches, or on the JOSTENS WEBSITE. Last year we sold out before the end of school, so don't wait!

    • AVID at GTHS--Attention THMS 8th grade students: Applications for next year's 9th grade AVID at Grand Terrace High School are still being accepted. If you would still like to apply, turn in your application to Mrs. Verschell in E-6.

    • There are still 7 seats for the Catalina Trip! If you are interested in reserving a seat for the 8th grade Catalina Trip (Friday May 19, 2017 through Sunday May 21, 2017) please see Ms. Schmidt in the office asap. The cost for the trip is $275.00. Payment plans are available.

    • The THMS Library is happy to announce that we are now open Mon, Tue, Thur, and Fri until 4:00pm--late buses are available on these days for students who remain in the library from 3-4pm. Stop by to use our computers, grab a book, or find a quiet place to work. We look forward to seeing you!
    • Are you interested in becoming a firefighter or emergency medical responder? Then this opportunity is for you! This summer, be a part of the JR. FIRE/EMS BOOTCAMP. This one weekend academy allows you to gain hands-on experience in Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, and the Military, all while sparking a possible interest into a career pathway. It is a 53 hour, jam-packed, fun-filled weekend, put on every summer at Camp Morning Star. The camp is open to anyone interested, ages 9 to 13. For more information stop by the library to pick up a flyer, or contact Ms. Anaya in E10.

    • Attention Students: The LOST and FOUND container is full. If you’ve lost any items, please check for them on the stage in the cafeteria, or they will soon be donated.
