  • Terrace Hills Middle School strives to provide a safe, secure learning environment for all students that encourage responsible, independent, creative and critical thinking skills development.  
    THMS provides the base for lifelong learning opportunities that students, through their actions and goals, will develop respect for themselves and others.
    To accomplish this mission, a working partnership consisting of students, staff, parents and community must exist.

THMS Daily Bulletin

    • 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony will be June 6th at 10:30am at Grand Terrace High School. More information including report time, parking, etc. is in the letter above. Students must meet board policy eligibility to participate in the ceremony.

    • Awards Nights: Invitations were mailed home this week, and sent home with students. If you received an invitation, you/your student is receiving an award. Both Awards Nights are being held at Grand Terrace High School in the Auditorium.

      8th Grade Awards Night is May 16 at 6pm @ GTHS
      7th Grade Awards Night is May 23 at 6pm @ GTHS

    • Honors English I (for 9th grade at GTHS) Summer Assignment: click here.
    • Fidget spinners will not be allowed on campus and will be confiscated. Please keep them–and all toys–at home.

    • GTHS Summer School Applications are available in E-6 or the front office for current 8th grade students. PE is the only course offerred and priority will be given to Pathway students. Space is limited and applications are processed in the order they are received. (Students are still required to take PE in 9th grade, but will have fullfilled their PE requirement for 10th grade.)

    • Yearbooks: You can buy your yearbook at Jostens.com for $38, or in H2 or the office for $40 (cash only). Last year we sold out before the end of the school year, so don't wait!

    • AVID at GTHS--Attention THMS 8th grade students: Applications for next year's 9th grade AVID at Grand Terrace High School are still being accepted. If you would still like to apply, turn in your application to Mrs. Verschell in E-6.

    • Are you interested in becoming a firefighter or emergency medical responder? Then this opportunity is for you! This summer, be a part of the JR. FIRE/EMS BOOTCAMP. This one weekend academy allows you to gain hands-on experience in Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, and the Military, all while sparking a possible interest into a career pathway. It is a 53 hour, jam-packed, fun-filled weekend, put on every summer at Camp Morning Star. The camp is open to anyone interested, ages 9 to 13. For more information stop by the library to pick up a flyer, or contact Ms. Anaya in E10.
