ON THE AGENDA AT CMS!

  • Attention Parents/Guardians and Students: Starting this School Year, there will be random and more frequent K-9 searches. Colton PD will work directly with our Staff to keep our campus safe and drug free. The trained K9 dogs will search lockers, classrooms and surrounding areas on campus. Any student found in possession of any narcotics and or weapons will be held responsible. Disciplinary actions according to Education Code will follow and are not limited to further charges and legal action taken by the Colton Police Department.

    • Career Center The Career Center offers many great resources that will help you discover what you are passionate about, and how you can become successful in the career of your choosing. Not only will you the help you need as begin to plan your future in High School, also you will be ablet to and have lots of fun doing so! Grab a friend and come visit Ms. Anaya in Career Center in room 31 during lunch. Open House today. 
    • Softball - Congrats to the girls and boys softball team for winning 1st place this season! Thank you to our awesome coaches for the time they put into our kids and to all of you Falcons who came out and supported! 
    • Notes from the Library - Students if you haven't already done so, please, clear your accounts. If you have any over due materials, late charges may keep a student from participating in school functions, any field trips and 8th grade promotion. Sp, get your books in! Also, passes to the library during lunch time are only given out by the teachers, (no excuses) so please, ask ahead of time.  
    • Best Buddies Club - Any of you awesome Falocons who would like to pair up with our Special Education Program and help us plan activities - stop by room 7 during 1st lunch, or if you have 2nd lunch you can find us in the Cafeteria. See Ms. Sandra for more details! 
    • Breaking News from CMS Newspaper Buy your Valentine's Grams during lunch. Send that special someone, a friend, Teacher or yourself a treat! Gram prices range from 1$, 3$, and 5$. These will be sold for a limited time, reseve yours today!
    • Coast-to-Coast STEM Soccer Program - Students that are interested in playing Soccer during lunch or on Saturdays, this announcement is for you! Pick up your application in the office and turn them in ASAP. Soccer Fun is held during lunches, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. You must presen your school ID with a sticker to play!  
    • Colton Pride Club - Be an active member of our community and join Colton Pride today! Meetings are held on Tuesdays, after school in room 17. See Ms. Lisa Villa for more info!
    • Project UPBEAT Club -  Interested in joining Project UPBEAT? This club at CMS is designed to help students like YOU learn about, prepare for, and experience what college is all about. If you are sitting there thinking, "I want to go to college," "I want to go on field trips," then you probably want to join Project UPBEAT today! Its not too late to join the fun. Applications are available in room 23 and 18. Please see Mr. McGuffee or Mrs. Smith for more details!   
    • Careers Unlimited Club - Careers Unlimited is a club for 8th grade students who are interested in finding out more information about college and university degrees. Meetings are held on Tuesdays after school. We are currently planning our field trip to Universal Studios Hollywood in May, come join the fun. See Mrs. Terada or Ms. Taylor for more info.   
    • Falcon Store - Falcon Store is now open during both lunches on WEDNESDAYS! Use your Falcon High-Fives to redeem some cool stuff. Teachers and Staff - we want to encourage you all to give Falcon High-Fives if you see any of our awesome students demonstrating the Falcon Way - by being responsible, respectful and safe! Congrats to the following winners in January; Natalie Ramirez, Rodolfo Ruiz, Michelle Cardenas, Anthony Andrade, and Alex Wood. These students have exhibited the Falcon Way and were rewarded with a 10$ McDonalds gift card! 
    • Straight from our ASB Corner -Annual Colton Middle Sweet Heart Dance is underway! This years dance will be on Thursday, February 15th from 6-9PM. Tickets are on sale for 10$ (or 7$ with an ASB card). Tickets will not be sold at the door so get your tickets now during lunch by February 14, 2018. Sweetheart Court will be announced tomorrow during both lunches. Don't forget to vote your King & Queen this Tuesday and Wednesday! Dont forget Tuesdays are College Shirt Day and Fridays we wear blue or your Falcon Pride Shirt! 
    • STEM Soccer Program - if any of you students are interested in playing soccer during lunch or during Saturday school you can pick up an application in the office. See you during lunch on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays! 
    • Anime Club If you are interested in joining the Anime Club please see Mrs. Johnston! Meetings are held on Fridays after school in room 35!
