Wilson, Heidi

 

Heidi Wilson has been with Colton Joint Unified District since 2001, first at CHS and then joining the Titan team when GTHS opened. She has taught English I and IV, Honors English, CAHSEE prep, Read 180, Reach, Avid, and Film Studies.  Prior to working in CJUSD, she taught at Palm Springs High School and as a middle school Language Arts teacher in Tucson, Arizona.  Ms. Wilson earned a Bachelor’s in English from Pomona College and a Master’s in Reading from the University of Arizona.  Her passions include dance (including clogging, the arcade game Dance, Dance Revolution, and, most recently Stepping), theater, and art.  At Colton High School she choreographed a most memorable flash mob to Katy Perry’s Firework!  She co-directed Romeo and Juliet at CHS and The Comedy of Errors at GTHS and continues to be an avid supporter of the performing arts.  As a member of the Arts Pathway, she is developing her artist side and enjoys drawing and photography.  She loves to read and is a huge Harry Potter fan.  Finally, Ms. Wilson is proud to be a teacher and says to her former, current, and future students to remember:  Carpe Diem!
